Chinese Outreach Worker Position – Open Until Filled

The San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS), Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) is looking for a bilingual Outreach Worker to help in providing behavioral health outreach and engagement services to Chinese immigrants and Chinese Americans living in San Mateo County. The Outreach Worker will be a contract position and will be working twenty-four (24) hours a week until June 30, 2017.

Contract Opportunities

BHRS Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) has posted the following two contract opportunities:

Office of Diversity and Equity Contractor Position – due 7/15/16
1) update the BHRS cultural competence plan as delineated in the State of California Cultural Competence Plan Requirements (CCPR);
2) develop an impact report for Workforce Education and Training (WET) efforts;
3) develop a sustainability plan for WET that incorporates findings from the impact report,
stakeholder input, priorities and best practices

Program Evaluation Contractor – due 7/15/16
Evaluate three (3) Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Innovation (INN) Component pilot programs. The contractor will:
1) develop evaluation plans for each program based on MHSA INN project evaluation requirements*;
2) work with each program to provide technical assistance in evaluation implementation, including administration of evaluation tools, data collection and reporting, etc.;
3) conduct annual outcome analysis and provide recommendations for changes/adjustments to the program plan and a final evaluation report

Request for Proposals: Multi-Cultural Center Services, East Palo Alto

BHRS is soliciting proposals from qualified and interested providers for the provision of Multi-Cultural Center Services in East Palo Alto. The Request for Proposals for these services can be viewed at and downloaded by going to www.smchealth.org/bhrs/rfp. If unable to download, paper copies of the RFP may be requested from Mary Vozikes via email mvozikes@smcgov.org.

All interested parties are invited to attend the non-mandatory proposers’ conference to be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. in Conference Room 300.11 (Third Floor) of the Health Services building, 225 37th Avenue, San Mateo, California. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 4:00 P.M. PST on Friday, January 22, 2016.

Request for Proposals: Health Ambassador Program-Youth

BHRS is soliciting proposals from qualified and interested providers for the provision of Health Ambassador Program – Youth. The Request for Proposals for these services can be viewed at: www.smhealth.org/bhrs/rfp. All interested parties are invited to attend the non-mandatory proposers’ conference to be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the BHRS Conference Room of the Health Services Building, 225 37th Avenue, 3rd Floor. San Mateo, California.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 4:00 P.M. PST on Monday, January 25, 2016.

Request for Letter of Interest: Multi-Cultural Center Service

BHRS is conducting a survey to determine whether organizations/agencies are interested in submitting proposals if a Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued to provide: Multi-Cultural Center services for mental health consumers and their family members in East Palo Alto. BHRS is seeking an organization with expertise in providing: culturally diverse community-based programs, support and community linkages for these individuals. The center will build capacity in order to ensure long-term service provision to mental health consumers in the East Palo Alto community.

If sufficient interest is demonstrated, an RFP will be issued. In the event that only one organization/agency responds to th is Request for Letters of Interest, BHRS could begin negotiating a contract immediately.  See the Request for Letter of Interest for more info.  Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2015.
