Office of Diversity and Equity Sponsors Basic Facilitation Training
The Office of Diversity and Equity and Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center hosted a two-day, 8-hour Basic Facilitation Training on July 30 and August 5. The training offered practical tools for facilitating meetings or groups, including tips for developing an effective agenda, basic meeting management techniques, fundamentals for working with diverse groups, tools for managing disruptive behavior and interactive, hands-on practice. The participants included behavioral health staff, community partners, consumers/clients and family members.
This picture includes the instructor Aida Negron and the 14 participants who completed the training. These Basic Facilitation graduates have gained skills that can help advance their work in behavioral health and health equity.
